My new Model Victoria had a wonderful idea today. The seven deadly sins. Done before no doubt, however I think it will really help to develop our skills. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on this.

    Here are the sins.

    *****

Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.

Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.

Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.

Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

    ****

I'd love to have a outrageous makeup and costumes, very anti-fashion on a way. For gluttony she wants to look messy, get covered in chocolate etc/ It'll be fab I just wanted to know if anything had been done like this and if you guys have any ideas for costumes/makeup.

I have seen something very similar on Pacha Magazine in Ibiza, A girl eating mc donalds on the frezze, guy sleeping with many clocks on the bed. etc

This is a fantastic idea - now its been done before so how can you add a new spin to it?  Gluttony I suppose could be with excess, not just food but like the WAG that does too much shopping! Pride could be....it could be a positive/negative thing....there's so many possibilities!

Yes it's been done before. And not as much as the 7 Heavenly Virtues... tho not as sexy as the sins.

Maybe you could have a theme on top of that theme. As in, 7 sins in what context? 7 deadly fashion sins, now that's an idea. Gluttony - too much jewelry, Sloth - the potato sack or just pyjamas? hehe.. :)

Wow, fashion star, those are great ideas! When you put it into the fashion context of things, that really gets the creative juices flowing! I had pondered on Jess's posting for quite some time but wasn't able to come up with anything that wasn't considered cliche. Hopefully Jess is able to take note of your suggestion and find something similar to incorporate into this shoot. In keeping with Fashion Star's ideas, I'll try to piggyback on it for the other 7 deadly sins...

Envy could involve another model wearing a great outfit or accessories and Jess's model could be dressed down and plain Jane, pouting at the model she envies.

Pride/vanity could involve the model staring lovingly at herself in the mirror with all her frills and accessories about her.

Anger would be great if it was shot as she was pulling off a strand of pearls and breaking them. I think this would serve as an awesome candid if caught at the right moment.

Lust could involve the model wearing some sex lingerie with a seductive look in her eyes.

Hmmm...that was all I could come up with at the moment.
