I've always been wary of modeling gigs where they have makeovers that require the model's hair to be cut. I hate it! Why can't they just color and style it? I have been trying to grow my hair for a long time and unfortunately have a hair type that doesn't like to budge in the growth department. Currently it is a little above shoulder length, not quite a bob though. I came across a modeling gig online that I would really love to do but it says models are required to get a makeover--however it did not state that a cut would be required. I plan on asking if I would have to get a haircut if I get a callback but I don't think I could take the job if they do indeed have to cut my hair.

I know there are extensions and weaves and that sort of thing but I really don't care for them and I love my hair so much that I already know I would have a nervous breakdown if they were to chop it off--not to mention that all my existing modeling pictures would be null and void. *Sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens but I don't think I'll take it if they insist on cutting my hair. I don't mind if they add extensions or whatnot but nothing else.

Ugh, does anyone else fret this much about their hair? haha

    Haha I do!

Well I am not super precious but I did once do a modelling hair thing and it was pretty bad.  Halfway through the job, the supervisor walks round and goes to the trainee

"What on earth are you doing.  Don't do that.  You'll cut all her hair off"

Cue - look of horror from me!

I paid for every hair cut after that, suprisingly.

Oh, no! I don't know what I would do if I were in your situation! Hearing the supervisor say that is like the equivalent of hearing a doctor say "oops" during your surgery...definitely things you don't want to hear during the process! haha.

I've done pretty much everything with my hair (cept for dye it, surprisingly) so I don't think I would mind getting a full makeover. I shaved my head once and was bald for most of the winter time. Wasn't the smartest idea, but after that, chopping off my longer shoulder length hair doesn't seem to be such a bad idea anymore =P

Wow, I think I would have a heart attack if I shaved my head! But I guess that's what wigs are for lol. That is cool that you are so open to different hair changes, good or bad. Do you just like experimenting with your hair or is most of it modeling-related? If your hair grows fast, then you are so lucky. Even if I managed a different style/cut, it would take eons for my hair to grow back, which is mainly why I'm so hesitant about chopping it in any way. haha.

My hair is so long at the moment - extremely long. I am thinking of growing out my fringe then going for the chop! A longer fringe and shorter back!! eek. Maybe, maybe...

Since your hair is so long, there is a lot you can choose to do with it. Maybe there are some celebrity hairstyles that you like that you may want to try? I think you'll look great regardless of what you choose. If you do choose to chop your hair off, you should mail it to me so I can wear it and pretend I have long hair! j/k! I always tell that to my friends with really long hair...they get a kick out of it lol.
