As the sun is coming out I have noticed that my current cream and foundation is too heavy! I will be switching to a lighter product - does anyone else do this in the summer?

In the summer I tend to stick to my regular moisturizer/cream but I switch to powder foundation (with SPF of course!) in the summer just because it feels better on my complexion, and obviously lighter. It's also easier to deal with when I sweat. I tend to put away my liquid foundation and aside from using some concealer, I simply brush on my foundation when needed and that's it. I hate the feeling of heavy makeup, especially when it's hot...it drives me nuts! But since I have eczema and skin that can become my enemy, I put more effort into my skin care routine so that I don't need to wear foundation of any kind when I go out. So far, so good!

    Hey Dania

    You must have beautiful skin!

I need a bit more coverage but powder foundation is working a real treat.  At the same time though, I don't like to look cakey (which powder can make me look like sometimes!).  I have been using my usual cream but urgh - spotty city. So I am looking for something light to use now :)

    Hi, Rowena!

Hmmm...have you thought about tinted moisturizer? I don't know if they're any lighter but I would imagine it could give you a more natural look with a bit of color, which I think could avoid the spotty look. And depending on what color you get, it should work okay with your powder foundation. I'm definitely not an expert but like to brainstorm ideas from time to time! Maybe stop by a makeup counter and have a pro give you advise on what you could do? You're Asian, correct? If so, are you more on the porcelain/fair side or more tan?
