I was telling my friend how much I love Creme De La Mer foundation - but its so expensive.  She wondered if it was just a psychological thing because it cost so much! I wonder how often we decide something is better than it actually is because it cost so much?

I think it's super easy to associate a high price tag with superior results. It just seems to make sense! But at the same time, if it weren't for the many brands I've seen that do the exact same thing but aren't so expensive, then I'm sure all I would buy is the top of the line stuff. In the past I've read customer reviews talking about how some pricey products didn't really offer good results and that was enough to convince me that paying a lot of money for a product doesn't always make it better than the cheaper stuff. But when it comes to makeup and skin care items, I do believe that it isn't good to always go with whatever is dirt cheap because not all those products have the best ingredients in them. There could be fillers and other stuff that isn't good for the skin. So in that sense, I try to keep my spending on such items somewhere in the moderate price range--not dirt cheap but not super expensive.

Yes I know what you mean! I haven't found many mega cheap product that work well on my skin, but at the same time I have tried very very expensive skincare that has just given me a rash right away.

So I agree! There are some mid priced skincare that just right! I am using Karin Herzog's stuff at the moment!
