So I was really proud of myself last week because I managed to put in hair extensions all by myself. I had my boudoir shoot coming up and wanted my hair to be longer so I decided to go to the beauty supply store nearby and buy a new set of hair extensions. I had only used such extensions once before--for a pageant--but the color of the hair was black and I realized that my hair actually isn't black so I wanted to make sure to buy hair that was as close to my natural color as possible. And luckily, I managed to find it! I also got some hair bonding glue then when home, propped a mirror in front of my vanity mirror so I could see the back of my head and started sectioning my hair off. I measured the right length of hair to use and carefully applied the tracks to my head. I used three, basically one at the bottom, one in the middle, and one near the crown of my head.
It actually turned out really nice! My boyfriend and even my parents didn't realize it wasn't my hair until they remembered that the last time they saw me my hair was barely touching my shoulders! I get really happy when I learn to do things like that on my own because it really does save a lot of time and money!
