I think that some people have the misconception that because commercial/print is more flexible in terms of height and weight requirements than other fields that this type of modeling is open to everyone. But that's not entirely true. While it is true that commercial/print models don't have to be super tall or super thin, there are other requirements that should be met at as well. Such models should still be within the 34-24-34 measurement range or at least proportional and should have a great commercial look: nice smile, good skin, healthy hair, symmetrical features, etc. Unfortunately, not everyone can be a model and such requirements are in place for a reason. So before you think that you can be a commercial/print model, look into it and learn more about what it required so that you don't get your hopes up too high. Being realistic about your potential will go a long way, whether the industry is made for you or not.

    Hi Dania

Its funny what you've said - if you watch America's Top Model, you'd think that it was easy peasy being a commercial model but mega hard being a catwalk model.

Actually its hard either way!  Fashion models need great proportions because they have to make every day clothes look amazing.  They need to be pretty, they need to be gorgeous but approachable too!
