Now that the sun is shining (where I am in the world anyway!), I will taking more fashion shots outdoors.  Don't get me wrong; summer sun can be harsh and throw up a load of problems like glare and my models always get a slight case of squinty eye!

I find that the sun coupled with a shaded spot is a fantastic light for natural and bright photographs.  Under a tree is ideal.

Quick tip - do not be afraid to use flash even though the sun is shining to counteract an extremely bright background - otherwise all you will be left with is a silhouette!

Will you be taking more shots outside now the weather is getting better?

I certainly will, I don't have my own lighting so it's so much simpler to go with aunatural lighting from the sun. I love brightness and when the sun is shiny it is so colourful outside. You can see from my shots that they are mostly done outside.

I love have a background to work with. And outdoors you can find some gorgeous settings. I have planned to go away to the Lake District for a shoot over the weeks starting 21st July but it seems that i am going to spend that time moving into my new house!

    That sounds wonderful!

The colour saturation is high when the sun is out.  I have also been moving home, so I haven't had the energy to do much lately but the camera is coming out this weekend!  x

We've got loads to do! Haven't even started packing and we move in this Friday. Going to be lovely being so close to exciting new locations for photographs. I went on a shoot yesterday hoping it would be wonderful and summer but of course it rained.

    We got absolutely soaked!!
