    Hey all,

As some of you know I'm highly interested in styling and fashion photography and am looking to get started learning and experimenting the realm of photography. However, I am at a loss at where to begin. I will be buying a digital SLR camera shortly and will be taking a few courses to learn about the basics. Is there any other advice you could give me about getting started. Should I simply go out and start shooting, rent studio space or just play around.

I'd say save money with studio space and do location shots. Somewhere like this or modelmayhem will have loads of models willing to do free work as long as they get prints or a cd at the end of it. TFT/CD/P is usuall how it works. Time for time/cd/prints.

Models want to build their portfolios too so are willing to help togs build theirs in exchange.

All my stuff has been friends or TFT models.

    Hey Jet,

Sorry, all that I know are in the U.S.. But I can definitely inquire about their willingness to travel.

I'm always up for new models. I should be getting my hands on a DSLR soon so it'll need testing out on some new, willing subjects.
