When I say alternative I mean tattoos, piercings, colouered hair etc. I'm meeting wiht a potential model on Friday who is going to do a Victorian style shoot for me as well as some alternative shots of her with dreads, bright clothes, cyber wear etc.

I just wanted to know if anyone had experience in shooting alternative models (think Suicide girls but without the nudity). Mainly the types of locations we could use.

Wow - well I think the answer is anywhere you like!

With interesting models, I would go for either somewhere quite loud, like a place that has graffiti art, old urban landscapes or I would use somewhere very very simple because the model is interesting enough.  I'd love to see the shots!

I'm meeting with her today we are going to do a Victorian photoshoot around Norwich. But she also has all the fab clothing and makeup that would make a really colourful punky shoot really awesome.

I shall upload photos after the shoot. I'm very excited about a new model.

I have to say it has been a while since I met someone who was interesting and dynamic to photograph - when that happens, then absolutely, the photographs just work. I can't wait to visit Japan next year - I think there will be lots of interesting people to shoot there!
