I am always playing with hair products and styling goods - I've used cheap and very expensive but I've always found the best to be somewhere inbetween.  What products do the other ladies on here use? I am intrigued - is expensive always best?

You know, for the past few years I've sworn by salon hair care products and have found the best results with them. These days I just don't trust a lot of the grocery store hair products...many have fillers and other ingredients that just haven't really worked with my hair. Right now I use Pureology's thermal styling/hold spray ($18), L'Oreal Professional Infusium 2 ($25)...I used to use shampoo and conditioner from another salon brand (can't think of the name right now) but I decided to try something new when I ran out so I went to Sally Beauty Supply Store and bought a shampoo and conditioner (the brand is called Naturalle) on sale that uses hemp seed oil, which is great for moisturizing. I love it!

    Hi Dania

Ah I just found out there is a Sallys near me ! But I am utterly overwhelmed when I go in.  At the moment I am using products for my sensitive scalp (philip kingsley) but I hate how expensive it is!

Oh, wow, I didn't know that Sallys was international...very cool! =) I don't know about the store you have near you but the Sallys I go to has really helpful employees...some of them I believe are cosmetologists or are attending cosmetology school so they usually are able to answer most of my questions. They do have so many products though that it always takes me a while to really figure out what I want. When all else fails, grab an employee and act dumb! lol. You should definitely ask them the next time you go in where their products for sensitive scalp are and see what they have. Sometimes they have small packets that don't cost that much that you could use on a trial basis.
