For me the winter months is all about the red lipstick! I have been through my collection and decided that my favourite reds are from Chanel, NARS and Clinique - but the right shade is so important. As I am Asian I find blue based dark reds look best on me although it's a big strong in the day so I use a sheer red gloss in the daytime instead. Does anyone else like to wear red?

It took me a while to learn to wear red lipstick but like you said, it's mostly about finding the right shade. For shoots I love to go all out and wear red in virtually any shade but as far as everyday makeup, I tend to shy away from fire engine reds and like the deeper reds. I have full lips so sometimes I feel like wearing certain shades of red makes my lips look bigger (and not in a flattering way!)...but I guess I am my own worst critic! So far I've enjoyed using MAC lipstick and when I'm feeling cheap I use NYC liquid lip shine in certain red shades.
Hey Dania
I am the same - very full lips so anything too bright makes me self concious. I quite like orange reds as they then start to look a bit corally and fun, blue reds seem so serious and I can't see myself in them!
Hi, Rowena!
Everytime I hear "blue reds" I get so paranoid and think that the color will actually be blue! lol. Yeah, the blue reds never really appealed to me at all. I've never tried the orange reds...that sounds like a fun shade to try! I'll have to look into that! What brand is your favorite for lipstick?
Hey Dania!
I actually buy a lot of Japanese brands (they sell them on www.adambeauty.com) because I have dry lips. Also Japanese lipsticks are very sheer and glossy, and tend to have this amazing 'water reflection' look - I like Lunasol, Majolica Majorca, Lavshuca. I also like Chanel too!
Oh, wow, that sounds fabulous, I never would have thought about buying Japanese brands! Thank you for telling me about them, they sound like a real catch! I'll definitely have to check out that website, too. I love finding out about new stuff!
Definately have a look I find their skincare is excellent - even the cheap so called drugstore brands are far superior to ours! mind you the exchange rate in England is pants at the moment - you can go further with your US dollar though!
