It can be daunting finding a photographer to shoot your portfolio images especially if you have never had experiences with one before. Recommendation goes far - any agency can recommend some people as can model/actor/dancer friends usually. Go for someone local not a huge studio who will charge you high fees for a few prints. Don't buy large packs of prints either its a waste of money and can cost around £700 so get a CD - always! £700 for a CD is still better than £700 for a load of prints! Also look out for college students because their photographs I find are as good as professionals (for clean, simple shots) and they often need models.
