Has anybody else heard of this? I read on a fellow model's blog that the latest cycle (13) of America's Next Top Model is only taking on short girls. Of course I had to investigate so I went to the CW website and looked at the eligibility requirements and they say they are only looking for models that AT OR UNDER 5'7". You should have seen my face when I read that! lol. Unbelievable!

I filled out the application and will be attending the casting in San Francisco this Tuesday, March 3. I am usually skeptical about reality TV and ANTM in particular but at the same time I figure I've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Plus my experience would serve as a great blog post, especially if I made it onto the show. You never know, right?

Since they are specifically recruiting shorter models for the show I wonder what their approach will be. Will they still be dealing with fashion and keeping the format the same except with shorter models or will they be taking a more commercial/print/petite related approach? I wonder will they have the short girls duke it out on the runway? So many questions! But hopefully I'll find some answers to those questions at the casting.

I'll be sure to let you all know how the casting goes. They won't be calling back finalists for the show until April though. Fingers crossed! =)

Thanks so much! I'm mad that the forecast says it's supposed to rain that day but hopefully that will discourage so many people from showing up in the line haha. I plan on getting there super super early just so I won't have to deal with waiting in line too long but since it's San Francisco and full of other shorties I'm sure hurricanes couldn't keep people away!

A part of me is a bit nervous just because if I were to make it onto the show, how would the show and its editor's portray me? It just gives me something to think about. however, I've watched more than my fair share of reality TV shows so I think I pretty much know what to do and what not to do. It still amazes me how some people completely lose their minds once the cameras are on. I'm not a drama mama so I think I would be portrayed as the goofy, nerdy, friendly girl who ends up being the peace maker in the midst of the cat fighting...of course I'd probably just slink away from the cat fights and find a good book to read! haha. I'll definitely let you know how it goes!!!
