Sometimes Craigslist and the people that post on there really irk me. I'm getting really tired of finding modeling gigs there that boast no pay for the models but "excellent opportunity for exposure" and some even go as far as to say that you can become famous. It really is an insult to one's intellect when they think they can offer everything but pay.

I came across a post today that needed models to hang out and entertain people at a club in the VIP section and the compensation was free drinks and free entry into the club. Are you kidding me? There's no "modeling" involved in that situation, nor should that person be looking for a model or aspiring model...they may as well have asked for pretty girls with nothing else better to do on a Saturday night! Oh, and don't even get me started on the posts that ask for models to "hand out fliers." That's not modeling, just lazy people that want a pretty face to do grunt work.

Sometimes I hate how people use the word "model" and "modeling" to misrepresent the real nature and intent of the gig.

While I have snagged some good gigs from craigslist, it's always stuff like what I mentioned above that just get to me sometimes.

    Hi there!

I just responded to your other post and I agree 100% Like I said in the other post we have Gumtree and there are plenty of modelling gigs on there - if you want to take your clothes off.  It's a shame as I think a lot of girls may go along and get co-erced into even something like underwear modelling - you can't take images of you back afther they have been released into the public domain.  It's such a dodgy way of working!
