So as promised I wanted to update you all on my casting experience with ANTM!
I went to the casting super early in San Francisco yesterday morning...I arrived around 8am and there were already 100-150 people in line but luckily the line moved quickly and I made it inside the hotel to the waiting room around 9:15am. I made friends with some of the girls in line and that made the time go by quickly. They started promptly at 10am (which was SO nice! haha) and they took the first 50 seated girls. I was a part of the next group and they packed us in like sardines in a line along the wall of the actual casting room. One by one we talked into a microphone and addressed the camera and stated our name, age, height, and weight.
After deliberation they made the first round of cuts and I survived! Yay! haha. All the girls were so wonderful--they hugged me and congratulated me...you would have thought I made it onto the show or something! haha. I didn't make the second cut though but the casting team said that Tyra watches all the video footage and often picks girls that the casting team didn't keep around, so that's the bright side I'm going to look at.
They won't notify anyone until April so hopefully I was good enough to make it to the semi finals or finals even though I didn't make it through to the second round with the casting team. And if I don't make it? Well, then it's business as usual and back to my agency hunt!
I had a blast though and the girls were all so great!
