I'm an eighteen year old student, currently studying three a-levels and hoping to go on to art school and university. I'm not a highly experienced photographer; I'm self-taught and still learning (loving every moment of it)!
I'm looking for models (experienced or not) who are easy to work with, a good laugh (I've found shoots are much more comfortable when you can laugh with/at each other) and looking to boost their portfolios, whilst helping me with my own. I'm also looking for photographers who are seeking assistants - any experience and education is welcome!
I am currently working digital - using a Canon EOS 350D; have the standard 18-55mm lens, a 75-300mm (zoom/macro) lens and two 50mm lenses. I also have an analogue - Olympus OM 101 - and now that I have darkroom knowledge, I more than adore playing with that camera and developing images. I have a basic studio set-up at home: a plain white backdrop, two lights/umbrellas, etc. This will continue to grow, but means that I am now available for shoots that aren't on location.
I work primarily on a TFCD basis. However, TFP can be arranged and as I work on my university entry portfolio I may even arrange payment, if required.
I work on projects both for school and for myself, to lead up to my university entry portfolio. If you have any ideas, or feel you could be of assistance or think you're perfect for any of them, let me know. I'd love to hear from you!
I am currently working on an art project exploring the theme of taboo and journeys. I want to take photographs of women in the work place or along those lines. I'm looking for models willing to pose nude or semi-nude (implied is possible if you're uncomfortable otherwise). These include, but are definitely not limited to:
[*]Model in surgical/doctor's mask.
[*]Firefighter's hat/jacket.
[*]Police cap/vest.
[*]Camouflage (possibly body paint).
[*]Men's tie only.
I am also searching for women and men of other cultures and religions to interview and photograph.
My main focus at the moment, however, is to photograph women who are 'trapped'. This isn't restricted to being squeezed into small spaces and I'd like it to become a large conceptual project. Tightlacers are particularly welcome in one aspect of this series!
